Oscar at Westminster

This is the first time Chinooks have been invited to the prestigious, Westminster Dog Show. There will be four Chinooks showing: CH Forever Greene Talis, and her son Forever Greene Tagluk,  CH Lakeside Run Little Bear (Birr), and CH Channahon’s Kikiah Tyee (Oscar), sire of the BrownStone Cascade Peaks litter.
The Chinooks have also been invited to the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange (Friday, 7 February) so you may see Talis, Bear, Tug and Oscar giving a Chinook howl.
The instructions to watch the stock exchange bell ringing:  By launching this link http://www.nasdaq.com/about/marketsitetowervideo.asx at 3:45pm (eastern time) you will have a view into the MarketSite studio where you can view the ceremony. The ceremony is live, not archived, so it is important to watch in real time. Do not be alarmed that the web cam is fuzzy. The video feed is compressed for online viewing.
The 700,000 Seattle Seahawks fans celebrating in the streets made Oscar miss his flight to NYC yesterday morning. He should be on his way now.

The breed judging (where individual dogs in each breed will compete against each other to determine which one will represent the breed in "group") will be streamed live on the Westminster Kennel Club's website. If you want to watch the judging of the Chinooks, it will be streamed live on www.wkclive.com at 1:30 (eastern time) on Tuesday.

On Tuesday night from 8-11PM (eastern time) the Working group will be judged and Best in Show awarded.  That will be live on USA network.Chinooks are in the "Working Group".
Oscar has received a lot of local and national media attention. Here he is with David Frei, head of media for the Westminster: Anna Pearson, his handler; and Ranny Green, media for Seattle Kennel Club. Anna also received an invitation to show as a Jr. Handler. Along with Oscar, she will be showing her Australian Shepherd, Promise.
All of the BrownStone paws are crossed for Oscar to be the first Chinook to win at Westminster.
GO OSCAR!
