Day 3 Centennial litter

Had the BrownStone Chinook Centennial litter whelped two days earlier: 7/17/2017 they would have been born 100 years and 7 months after the first Chinook: 1/17/1917.

Day 3, although it feels like day two since they came home in the wee hours of yesterday.
"Good morning little ones."
Breakfast at the milkbar for the puppies and kibble a' al mode for Koyuk.
I created these posters with generous permission from the publisher of The First Chinook to document puppy growth against. But the process of photography and lighting is proving tough. The close-up pictures on the white towel are more true to the actual puppy coloring.

Meet Arthur, Mr. Yellow
Oops. I Just now realized I could have used some proof reading before printing.
"Most of all, I cannot help
But see that you have yellow fur--
Your're no husky, that's for sure."
 Cedar checking out Arthur.
Arthur weighed 10.30oz when whelped and 11oz this morning.
Trask once fit in this scale.
Meet Wind, Mr. purple.
 With Grandmother Cedar.
Wind weighed 10.41oz at birth and 11oz this morning.
 Meet Treadwell, Mr. Green.
 One tough and strong boy.
Treadwell being checked out by Trask. Trask and Cedar can't get enough of the puppies and this was their first opportunity to get up and close. (Koyuk was in the whelping box with the other puppies as pictures were being taken). Trask and Cedar haven't ventured into the whelping box itself but have poked in their heads whenever they hear a puppy meow.
Treadwell weighed 13oz when I got him home and 13.5oz this morning.
Meet Washington, Mr. Orange.
He was already eager to climb his namesake mountain. It took two photo sessions to catch him in less blurred action and even then he was off and running until...
he finally collapsed.
Washington weighed 10.46oz when whelped and 13oz this morning.
Meet Kate, Ms Pink
Kate is definitely the most adventurous and she pushes her way into wherever she thinks she wants to go. None of her brothers stand a chance at the milkbar or warmest spot in the whelping box.
Kate weighed 13oz when she got home and 13oz this morning.
Meet Byrd, Mr. Red
Byrd is already checking out the loaded sled of his future...
and ready to conquer the trail.
Byrd weighed 10.47oz when whelped and 11oz this morning.
And this was just the beginning of the day.
There was snuggling with mom...
total cuteness...
trips to the milkbar...
and a big trip to the vet where...
 Basket of puppies.
All were pronounced healthy and Koyuk 12lbs lighter.
and the day's whelping box laundry.
Tonight maybe sleep can be added to the agenda.
Just one last cuteness. How can I think of sleeping when there is so much cuteness?
