Chinook Centennial Birthday

Chinook was born January 17, 1917. Unfortunately, the West Coast Chinooks were not able to get together for a Chinook Centennial Celebration.  So while those on the East Coast celebrated at Chinook's birthplace, we had our own BrownStone Chinooks party.

Arthur Walden with Chinook. Walden always wore his flat brimmed hat.
For Chinook's 100th Birthday Celebration, Vineman wore my flat brimmed hat and ruff muffler.
It was about 16 degrees out and the snow was coated with an inch of freezing rain ice. Taking this pictures was a very cold, slippery task. The dogs were not into a "sit-stay" on the cold ground and each out-take required me backing uphill on the breakable ice surface and use nearly frozen fingers to press the camera shutter.

As soon as the last picture I could get them to sit/stand for was taken and we went in to celebrate - me with hot chocolate and the dogs with special party treats.
