Ullr Visit

October 6th
Ullr (Wind) joined the BrownStone pack for a four day visit.
While I did getting-ready-for-winter chores, I had him anchored with a 12' leash to a 20#, cast-iron, Christmas tree stand. He weighs 16# and pulled it all over the rough concrete patio. He figured out where the weak link to his tie-out was and immediately went to work on it.
Freedom. Time to run and play Chinook tag with the big dogs.
To occupy him, I brought over what was left of the sensory cube. A 12' leash attached to an inquisitive puppy made for some impressive tangles and a short play time with the sensory cube.
That's OK - there is always sunbathing mom Koyuk and Grandma Cedar within leash range.
 Finally worn out.

October 7th
Everyone LOVES their guest.
Koyuk spent hours quietly playing with her son...
and slept right beside his crate.
Trask getting play time.
Even Cedar took advantage of one-on-one time...
to show off her "up" ears...
until one became a chew toy.
Trask awaits his turn with Ullr.
Once it was warm enough to go outside, Ullr immediately worked on the problem of freeing himself from the Christmas tree stand. His approach today was to undo the nut securing the bolt holding his leash. This guy is going to be a determined, systematic problem solver like his mother Koyuk.
Koyuk brought Swan to engage him.
While I enjoyed my morning coffee, they wrestled the prize unhindered by 12' of leash.
 Victor.
 Take down.
Cedar making sure I hadn't missed any of my breakfast bar.
The beautiful day continued with quiet play; attempts at freeing the leash; vigorous games of Chinook tag both outside around trees and inside around the couch and chairs and me sitting in the Autumn sun  enjoying starting to read the first book in months interspersed with untangling the leash.
