Kitty in the middle of my ornament project area. Soon after the dogs spotted her, everything on the table was tipped or on the floor.
I love to decorate the house for Christmas. This year is heavy on red. For a new fireplace swag I had bought red floral and berry picks, ribbon and balls to adorn greens from the property. Everything was still in bags when I left. I had no reason to expect anyone getting on the counter. That had not happened since Cedar was a puppy - oh-oh - like mother, like daughter. Then again, it could have been Kitty who pushed the bags and spice bottles to the ground for the dogs to have their way with.I came home to an amazing mess. Fortunately the balls were unbreakable but they were tested for squeakers. The picks became covered with spices, either before or after they were used as tug toys. Now tasty, they had been chewed on but did not stay down. Embellishing the spice coated dogs, rug and floor was the dusting of gold glitter scattered during unrolling and tugging the ribbon. Luckily the tree is wired to the wall.
