On The Road Again

Other than a trip to see the doctor, Dave has been stuck in for 28 days. He has really missed being at the mountain with the ski patrol. Road Trip time!
While he spent time with the patrollers, SPYteam members and ski area management, I went for another long awaited road trip with the dogs.
Koyuk and Cedar are all dressed and ready to go.
The road sign says: "NOT MAINTAINED FOR SNOW OR ICE". Just our kind of road!
Waldo Road is all up hill. Breaking trail in 3" new, heavy snow made for slow going.
After 2.5 miles, it was time to turn around. Normally this is a tangled process but the dogs were eager to run back downhill. They turned the sled. I jumped on as it went by...
and we were off!
Snowmobiles didn't even phase the girls.
McKenzie got up from her nap in the back of the van to join in on the post run feast. We then packed up; went back to the ski area to pick-up Dave and headed home where everyone else is now asleep.
It was good to be back on the road again!
