Too Hot

Only getting hotter around here. Back in the 90's today. I spent my day watering. Koyuk spent her day in her favorite tree shade spot. McKenzie stayed inside on the relatively cool (still no heat pump thus no AC) floor. Cedar traveled between them.
Koyuk hardly moved from this piece of shade all day.
 Cedar checking up on Koyuk...
 and enjoying the cool grass.
Once again ALL of the ripe blueberries are gone. In my blueberry patch I have over 1,000' of mylar tape fluttering over the blueberry bushes; an 8' fence; Annie, the apparently not so scary scarecrow; and a live trap. The birds could care less of the fluttering mylar or Annie. The deer stick their heads through the fence they can't jump. This morning was the fourth in a row that the blueberry live trap has been emptied and sprung. Fox or raccoon, they have figured out how to get 1 cup of kibble, tiny marshmallows and themselves out then spring the trap. AARG! I don't want to put bird netting over the bushes for fear birds will get caught up in it but enough is enough. I want my blueberries.
