Day 58 - Goodbye Karuk

Because of rain, the puppies started out their day in the kennel.  I don't know how she knew but Koyuk gave Karuk extra attention all morning.
 Special kisses for Karuk.
The weather turned for the better when Karuk's sire Oscar arrived for the sendoff and was greeted by his girlfriends.
Karuk getting one last nursing.
Cedar, Karuk, Oscar, Koyuk and McKenzie.
Oscar, Cedar, Koyuk and McKenzie. Karuk is being chased around the yard off screen.
Karuk's forever family drove all night to pick him up and had to turn right around again for home in Southern California. Koyuk is checking out who is holding her boy.
Nari and Justin will be breeding Karuk and promise to bring him up her for dry land races in a couple of years.
A last cleaning by Koyuk and grandmother Cedar.
The third picture in this sequence would have been (if I had been fast enough) of Karuk falling backwards, head over heels for his new mom Nari.
One last stroll through the garden for Karuk - now Alaka'i (to lead in Hawaiian.)
He is so missed here already.
But his family said he actually slept through the night and is totally in love with them and they him.
