Day 23 - Linens Switched To Paper & Puppy Love

Not quite as good as mom but the puppies do enjoy their gruel.
 puppies are always entertaining
The feeding shown above was on whelping box linen #9 since last evening. Changing the linens involves: putting puppies into the basket for safe keeping (hah); tipping the box frame up on it's side, removing the soiled linen; putting in a clean one; putting the box frame back into place; capturing puppies scattered all over the room; mopping the soiled floor and washing the soiled linen.
As any mother knows, a switch to solid food increases the output. The puppies are now on newspaper. Their coordination is such that they can walk on the slicker surface. It actually takes more time to change the paper but sure cuts down on the washer loads.
Between laundry loads, the basket is also handy for transport. Anna did a straggler puppy out assist.
Grandmother Cedar checking out Klara's bounty.
BrownStone Lupin is in the background. She was much more interested in going for a swim with mother McKenzie than playing with puppies.
 Puppy love goes both ways.
Matriarch McKenzie had something to tell Klah.
Anna has decided that her favorite is Ms Silver...
and that Ms Silver needed a ride on Koyuk.
(Notice the whelping box laundry?)
Anna making sure Ms Silver get her share at the milkbar.
Klah is ready to go back to the whelping box. (Klara put TP toys in the box in case Klah wakes up and wants to play.)
