Day 32 - New Experience - Rain

We are currently 16+ inches behind on rain for the year 2013. Seems like it has been months since we saw all but a few drops. This morning I awoke to the once familiar Oregon downpour on our tin roof and the fresh smell of rain. Chinooks instinctively love snow but these are Oregon born. I wanted to see how they would handle wet grass and rain.
Koyuk happily rolled in the wet grass while the puppies took advantage of easy access to the milkbar - win-win.
Cedar did her best to get the puppies engaged in Chinook tag.
A little dampness didn't stop Oregon native Mindy from enjoying the out-of-doors with the dogs.
 A mother's love...
and joy.
Milkbar is occupied so Koma will have to survive for the moment on kisses.
Tired from running all over the place, the little ones took shelter under the fire table. (The towel is wrapping the propane gas line that the puppies were using for teething).
Mindy snapped a picture of me getting Nookies
 Warm, dry, exhausted, quiet puppies.
